I know it sounds very bizarre but the left is coining the term “DEI” as the new N-Word. And here’s why.

VP Kamala Harris unweaves scrutiny after Trump’s recent remarks about Harris being an possible “DEI hire”. During an Q&A session with the National Association of Black Journalist, one of the journalist on the panel asked Trump if it’s acceptable for republicans to call Harris an DEI hire. Trump was very straightforward with his answer and very puzzled by Harris’ new racial identity as an black woman. In fact, Trump claims that he always known her to be an Indian heritage.

“I’ve known her a long time, indirectly, not direct, very much. And she was always of Indian heritage and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn’t know she was black until a number of years ago and now she wants to be known as black,” said Former President Donald Trump.

Throughout the interview Trump stated that it could be possible but he doesn’t know. The left was highly taken back from Trump’s remarks like the former Biden Domestic Policy Adviser Susan Rice. Rice expressed that it’s extremely offensive and dehumanizing to marginalized groups. She feels as if the statement is claiming that you got your position purely because of an dis fair advantage.

What is DEI?

DEI stands for diversity, equity and inclusion. DEI implements new practices and policies intend to support those with marginalized groups and give them the opportunity to thrive in the workplace. A great example of DEI is affirmative action. Affirmative action eliminates unlawful discrimination among applicants based on race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. Republicans are claiming that these policies are repressive because you’re selecting individuals purely based on identity instead of work ethics or academics.

DEI exercises the teachings of equality v. equity. Equality equates to fairness where everyone gets the same thing whereas equity includes resources to those who need it…ideally those who classified as marginalized. This is where it becomes a problem because we’re not hiring qualified people anymore and its limiting abilities based on identity instead of education. I think it exercises linear thinking with no variations. In other words, your thinking is the same as every other person you encounter. No room for open-mindedness and interpretation to exercise critical thinking skills.

I found it very funny that the liberals are highlighting the term as the new N-word now because it was originally created to help marginalized group. It’s demeaning to categorize an person based on identity instead of character. DEI is putting people in boxes instead of valuing one’s character and actions. We need dismantle the silliness and value equality.
